Sustainability Policy
An interior that lasts is the most sustainable one. This page sets out how Allura Design approaches materials, furniture and energy in the spaces we design.
Longevity
Interiors designed to stay in use and in style for many years.
Local production
Made-to-order furniture produced in Bucharest and Ilfov.
Careful materials
Durable, repairable finishes chosen for each room.
Less waste
Every piece drawn in 3D before anything is produced.
Design that lasts
We favour layouts, proportions and finishes that age well, so a room does not need to be redone after a few years.
Made to order, made locally
Custom furniture for our projects is produced to measure by CARVELLO in Bucharest and Ilfov. Producing only what a project needs, close to where it is installed, avoids overproduction and long transport.
Materials chosen with care
We prefer durable, repairable materials. Where the project and the budget allow, we propose wood from certified sources and paints and lacquers with low emissions.
Planned in 3D before production
Each piece is drawn in 3D to the exact dimensions of the space and cut on CNC machines. Precise planning means fewer errors, fewer remakes and less wasted material.
Light and energy
Our lighting plans use LED sources in layers, and our layouts make the most of daylight, so rooms need less artificial light.
Keep what works
Before proposing new pieces, we look at what you already own. Furniture and finishes worth keeping are integrated into the new design.
Digital by default
Proposals, palettes and visualisations are delivered digitally, and consultations can be held online, which saves printing and travel.
Honest reporting
We are a small studio and do not yet publish measured targets. As we begin to measure our footprint, we will add figures to this page rather than general promises.
Application
This policy applies to the projects Allura Design carries out and guides our choice of partners and suppliers. We review it periodically.
